In memory of Easton Ryan Sonntag and all SIDS angels.Easton Ryan Sonntag was born a healthy baby boy on August 31, 2011. On Monday, February 13, 2012 our world was shattered when we received news that our perfectly healthy son had passed while at daycare. This is definitely every parent’s worst nightmare. Easton was our first and only child, he was our whole world. Unfortunately our daycare provider, who our son was with at the time of his passing also tragically, lost her son to this baby stealer 41 years ago. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is very real and we are taking a stand to spread awareness and gather more funding to help prevent this horrible syndrome from taking any more precious children. It may not bring our angel back, or the thousands it takes every year, but if it can help prevent another family from feeling the pain that we endure, it will be worth it.
This event is being held in Easton’s memory to raise funds to support the programs of Tomorrow’s Child/Michigan SIDS and The American SIDS Institute, both are nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. Tomorrow’s Child is a statewide organization dedicated to keeping all babies alive and providing grief support to persons affected by an infant death. Tomorrow’s Child also conducts research and provides education across Michigan on the importance of infant safe sleep. The American SIDS Institute is a national organization dedicated to the prevention of infant death and the promotion of infant health through research and education. Please join us in our belief that every child should live a long happy life. We appreciate your help in achieving our goal. |
